Anthony Cyprian Bridge
The Very Rev Antony Cyprian Bridge was an eminent Anglican priest in the last third of the 20th Century. He was born on 5 September 1914 and educated at Marlborough and the Royal Academy School of Art. A professional painter before the war, he enlisted in 1939 and was Commissioned into the Buffs[1]. Ordained in 1955 he was then a Curate in Hythe, Kent [2] and then Vicar of Christ Church Lancaster Gate [3] before his elevation to the Deanery at Guildford Cathedral, a post he was to hold for 18 years. He died on 23 April 2007.
